Automios is an innovative IT startup focused on developing robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer with expertise in C, C++, PostgreSQL, Linux, Java and Python to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure database architectures.

Optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance, security, and scalability.

Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data processing.

Work with C, C++, Java, and Python to integrate databases with backend applications.

Implement and manage database security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

Monitor and optimize database performance, indexing, and query execution plans.

Collaborate with software development teams to design and implement data models.

Manage database versioning, migrations, and schema updates.

Ensure high availability and reliability of database systems.

Automate database management tasks using Linux shell scripting and Python.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in database engineering and administration.

Strong expertise in PostgreSQL (performance tuning, query optimization, indexing).

Proficiency in C, C++, Java, and Python for backend database interactions.

Hands-on experience with Linux-based database environments and shell scripting.

Strong understanding of SQL, database normalization, and indexing strategies.

Experience with database replication, clustering, and high availability setups.

Knowledge of ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and database migrations.

Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure, GCP).

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).

Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).

Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).

Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
